A true boss provides opportunities for others, and that’s the exact energy Hov’s giving this weekend.
The rap legend and serial entrepreneur is slated to add some spice to New York City‘s nightlife by reopening his Madison Square Garden nightclub. In doing so, Jay-Z is blessing 100 lucky candidates with the opportunity to come on board as waitstaff for the 40/40 Club.
“We’re thrilled to add a jolt to New York City’s restaurant and nightlife industry with the creation of these 100 new jobs,” says 40/40 Club manager Candice Williams in a recent statement.
Reportedly, employees will be compensated $20 hourly in addition to tips, which is $5 more than NYC’s minimum wage. Auditions are being held this weekend, July 31 and Aug 1, between 1 – 5 p.m. at the Madison Square location. Those interested will be expected to demonstrate skills, interview and apply for their desired roles during this open call.
August 4th, the 40/40 Club will officially be back in business, celebrating its 18th year.
