Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club Sued By Patron That Was Beat Up In Altercation Allegedly Involving Boxer Jermall Charlo

In March, a brawl broke out at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in New York, and an innocent bystander is now suing the club due to a lack of adequate security and insufficient crowd control that led to his injuries.

Jose Irizarry alleges that he was partying at the 40/40 Club when a fight broke out, and he was hit in the head. The injury caused him pain and suffering, medical bills, and lost wages and he expects the venue to reimburse him. Jay Z is not named in the lawsuit, only the operating management.

According to Irizarry’s attorney, the fight took place the same night boxer Jermall Charlo got into an altercation and had his bag full of cash and jewelry stolen. #TMZ released security footage of a woman taking a #LouisVuitton bag filled with $40,000 cash, a $15,000 diamond bracelet, a $75,000 championship ring, and other valuables. The attorney says it was in that scuffle that Irizarry was beaten up.
