Jay-Z’s anonymous rape accuser just asked a judge to throw out his defamation lawsuit against her.
She claims Jay-Z can’t sue her because her original accusations were made in court filings protected by law. She also says her NBC interview was based entirely on those filings.
This all started when she accused Jay-Z and Diddy of raping her when she was 13. But after inconsistencies popped up, she dropped her case. Jay-Z then sued her and her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, for defamation, saying they damaged his name with false claims.
Now she’s saying the lawsuit shouldn’t even exist.
Buzbee claims, “An agreement to resolve the litigation was reached… which included the voluntary dismissal of the SDNY Action.”
Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, isn’t having it. He responded, “Total lie. He brought a false case, lost badly and was forced to dismiss quickly. End of story.”
But Buzbee’s attorney said, “Spiro’s statement that there was no agreement is a total fabrication. There was an exchange of emails… which set forth the agreement very clearly.”
He added, “We agreed to withdraw the lawsuit… even though Jane Doe continued to maintain that the allegations in that lawsuit were true… Jay Z and Spiro agreed not to send any more people to harass and intimidate Jane Doe and her family.”
Jay-Z’s team hasn’t officially responded to the woman’s motion yet.
