Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt just landed in the Grammy Hall of Fame.
The 1996 classic is one of eight albums inducted for 2025, and it’s the only hip-hop LP in this new class.
The Recording Academy made the announcement Thursday, with the induction gala set for May 16 at the Beverly Hilton in LA.
This is Jay’s first album in the Hall, but it’s not the first rap record to get that recognition.
Dr. Dre’s The Chronic and Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation already made the cut, but Reasonable Doubt is holding its own.
Although the album didn’t win any Grammy Awards when it dropped in 1996, it was nominated for a couple of big ones.
Over time, it’s earned undeniable respect and it’s now solidified its place in history with this Hall of Fame induction.
