When it comes to fashion and social media influence, Jayda Cheaves has it on lock! The 23-year-old entrepreneur keeps the girls on their toes and wanting for more with her daily post capturing her lifestyle.
In an exclusive interview with Baller Alert, Jayda tells us that she’s been interested in fashion since she was 16 years old. “I started a t-shirt line when I was young. Selling clothes was the first bag I ever got into,” said Jayda.
After taking a break from business due to the birth of her son, Loyal, Jayda launched her clothing brand Waydamin. “My passion is clothes. I get dressed every day and I love taking pictures. So I decided to start a brand,” said Jayda. The multi-millionaire described her brand as loungewear and “cute clothes to travel in.”
When being an Instagram influencer, the internet can be a bit overwhelming. Jayda discussed what she does to protect her peace. “Sometimes I have to just put my phone down because we get so caught up in social media these days and it can be draining,” said Jayda. A couple of days out of the week, she said she’ll stay off of social media and “act normal.”
Jayda joined “The Power of the Black Dollar,” panel at the 2021 Revolt Summit in Atlanta, Georgia on November 12. This is the biggest panel she has ever been on. “This was very inspiring to me. I’ve done panels before but nothing of this magnitude,” she said. Jayda said she learned the importance of protecting the black dollar and supporting black businesses. “We are who keep each other growing. We have to continue to support each other because that goes a long way,” she said.
