Jayden Daniels’ mom, Regina Daniels, is setting the record straight after catching heat online for being “too involved” in her son’s personal life.
The backlash hit a peak after she was spotted at a nightclub in Florida with the NFL rookie during F1’s Miami Grand Prix weekend.
Some fans claimed the scene gave “helicopter mom” and social media didn’t hold back.

This isn’t the first time people have questioned Regina’s presence in Jayden’s life, especially when it comes to who he’s dating.
Online, fans have accused her of micromanaging his love life and interfering with potential relationships. But now, she’s speaking out to defend herself.
Regina addressed the drama head-on during her appearance on The Pivot podcast, where she pushed back at the idea that she’s doing too much and explained her protective instincts as a mom.
“That should be every parent’s biggest fear… you’re a public figure. Your dollar amount is attached to your name. You never know who is really there for you and against you,” she said.
She made it clear that Jayden is his own man, saying, “My son can date. He can live free. He makes his own decisions… However he does value my opinion.”
And despite what critics may say, Regina isn’t backing down from doing what she feels is right.
“I’m a mom that protects my son,” she said plainly.
