Jaylen Brown is clearing up his recent comments about Bronny James’ future in the NBA.
In a video of Brown sitting courtside in Las Vegas with Kysre Gondrezick and star Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese, the Celtics star appears to say, “I don’t think Bronny is a pro,” with Gondrezick appearing to respond, “I think he’ll be on the G-league team for sure.”
He seemingly replies, “I don’t think so, I think because of his name he’ll be on the Lakers.”
To clear things up, Brown took to X early Monday to clarify what he meant.
He wrote, “It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the NBA. It reflects greatness and longevity! Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful. I look forward to watching his growth.”
Many fans are appreciating his supportive stance on Bronny’s potential. Some still feel conflicted about his initial comment, but his follow-up has brought a lot of positivity back to the conversation.
