Jayson Williams, Former NBA baller and ex-husband of Basketball Wives LA star Tanya, has been released from Rikers Island today. Williams served 8 months of a 1 year sentence stemming from a DUI in 2010 where he swerved through 4 lanes of traffic and subsequently slammed his vehicle into a tree.
If you remember, this isn’t Jayson’s first run in with the law. Williams was sentenced to 5 years in prison for shooting his hired driver back in 2002. He was sentenced in 2010 and was eligible for parole after 18 months. It took them 8 years to finally sentence him and after only 18 months of a 5 year sentence he was free.
What are Tanya’s thoughts on Jayson being freed again? Who knows. She has hinted to physical and emotional abuse from Jayson in the past. He obviously has issues with the sauce. I hope she stays as far away from him as possible and he gets the help he needs.
