Legendary guitarists Carlos Santana and Buddy Guy will be honored by The Jazz Foundation at their annual event, A Great Night in Harlem, according to Rolling Stone.
Santana, 72, will receive the first Claude Nobs Award. The award is named after the late founder of the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, where Santana often performs and has released live albums and concerts.
Guy, 83, will be honored with the 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award for his long career as a blues guitarist.
Both men are still playing strong with scheduled tours coming up.
Santana goes on tour in Europe this spring and also has a North American tour with Earth, Wind, and Fire starting in June. He’s also scheduled to play at the House of Blues in Las Vegas throughout the year.
Guy has his own North American tour kicking off in March, running until September.
The event takes place on April 14th at the Apollo Theater in New York City, and tickets are now on sale.
