Jean Knight, the iconic ‘Mr. Big Stuff’ songstress passed away last Wednesday, as confirmed by her family.

In a released statement, Jean’s family celebrated her remarkable career, spanning from JetStream Records to Stax Records, and notably, her initiative in founding her own label, Comstar.

“Jean Knight’s legacy is not just a musical one; it is a testament to the enduring love between an artist, her hometown, and the fans who adored her. The singer was most known for her famous hit ‘Mr. Big Stuff.’

While Jean recorded numerous songs in her career, none matched the success of “Big Stuff.”
