Jeannie Mai is making self-love a priority after finalizing her divorce from rapper Jeezy.
The TV personality recently shared with People that she’s enjoying her own company and has “been busy dating myself.”
“I’ve just been taking myself out,” Mai said. “I’ve been spending a lot of money on myself.”
Over the holiday season, Mai celebrated her newfound independence by traveling with loved ones. She organized an impromptu birthday getaway to Hawaii with friends and took 16 family members to Disney World for Christmas.
“I feel like right now, I’m just celebrating all the things that I love and that love me,” Mai explained. “It feels like I’m booked dating myself.”
Jeezy filed for divorce in September 2023, citing that their marriage was “irretrievably broken” with “no hope for reconciliation.” The separation, finalized this past summer, included a custody agreement for their two-year-old daughter, Monaco.
The former couple’s relationship began in late 2018 after meeting on the set of The Real. Jeezy proposed in March 2020, and the two wed in Atlanta a year later. However, their split wasn’t without controversy, as Mai accused Jeezy of infidelity and abuse—claims that he has denied.
