Jeannie Mai is hoping a judge will halt Jeezy‘s attempts to enforce their prenuptial agreement.
The media personality alleges that she was forced to rush through the document just five days ahead of their March 27th, 2021, wedding. As a result, Mai has raised concerns about the due diligence process, particularly the disclosure of financial positions. In her court filing, Mai, who shares 2-year-old daughter Monoco with the “Soul Survivor” rapper, expresses reservations about Jeezy’s transparency in terms of his money, citing a lack of comprehensive supporting documents. The 45-year-old hopes a judge will either reject the motion to enforce the prenup or at least postpone it, giving her legal team time for further investigation.
Both parties have made allegations toward one another during their split. Mai hinted at infidelity in December 2023. Another part of her prenup battle is a clause in the document that penalizes adulterous parties. Despite not disclosing details, Mai and her lawyer sought to enforce the paragraph, seemingly aiming for a private resolution. Jeezy fired back, denying the infidelity claims. However, he does believe Mai is trying to keep their daughter away from him. She also shot down his comments but admitted that she thought Jeezy needed to take better precautions with firearms in the home and have a safety plan in place.
Jeezy filed for divorce in September 2023, with issues such as differing family views and much more. The rapper shared that they’d tried marriage counseling to no avail.
