Just days after “Teen Mom” 2 star Jenelle Evans was fired from the show over her husband’s violent outburst against their family dog, the reality star and often-troubled mother of three has been temporarily stripped of her parental privileges.
Earlier this month, according to reports, Evans’ husband, David Eason, beat the family’s French bulldog, Nugget, before fatally shooting it after he said the dog snapped at their 2-year-old daughter, Ensley. Days later, MTV moved to sever business ties with Evans, highlighting the network’s previous issues with Eason, saying, it “ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of ‘Teen Mom 2’ with him since. Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019, and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.”
Eason was initially cut from the show, following a series of homophobic tweets. However, he also drew criticisms after Evans reported abuse and later retracted her story, claiming it to be a misunderstanding. On top of that, David has also been criticized for his overt racism and support of the Confederate flag.
But now, as a result of David’s violence, Columbus County Child Protective services have removed two of Evans’ children from the home until the investigation is complete. According to TMZ, sources say Jenelle’s 9-year-old Jace has been sent back to her mother’s house, as she is his legal guardian, and their scheduled visits have been put on hold. Evans’ four-year-old, Kaiser, has also been removed from the home and sent to stay with his father, Nathan Griffith, and Nathan’s mother.
As for Evans’ two-year-old with David, officials have decided to leave Ensley in her parents’ custody, given her father’s temper combined with his firepower.
