Singer Jennifer Hudson and her ex, David Otunga, have been going back and forth in a custody battle for years now, but this time Otunga wants a judge to force the singer to testify under oath about their issues to help his side of the custody battle.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Otunga filed a motion for Hudson’s deposition, which he has been trying to get Hudson to testify in court for. The judge hasn’t ruled on whether Hudson will have to answer Otunga’s questions during the trial but did set up a hearing as the former couple is scheduled to appear in court in May to inform the judge of the outcome after their attempt to settle the case themselves.
The judge did order a hearing on Hudson’s motion, requesting that Otunga get a job and keep a log of his employment searches.
Hudson filed an emergency order of protection against Otunga in 2017 for allegedly pushing her while holding their son. The order was granted, however, Hudson dropped the petition, and the two have had to settle their differences in various court hearings ever since.
