Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially closed the chapter on Bennifer 2.0, as their divorce has been finalized.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2022 after rekindling their romance, reached a settlement five months following their unexpected split on their second wedding anniversary. Despite their brief union, they have agreed on the division of assets, with both parties retaining what they had individually acquired during their marriage. The terms of their $61 million mansion remain undisclosed, but the pair’s wealth, totaling $550 million, was also without a prenuptial agreement.
Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, initially eloped at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas in July 2022, before exchanging vows in a more elaborate ceremony at Affleck’s estate in Georgia that August. The split occurred on their second wedding anniversary, with Lopez officially filing for divorce and citing their separation as April 26th, 2024.
Despite their separation, the stars have remained on cordial terms. Lopez’s visit to Affleck’s home just before the Golden Globes and their December reunion at Soho House further confirm that the two continue to share a close bond.
“They have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives despite not being romantically involved,” one insider told the Daily Mail, emphasizing their mutual respect and ongoing connection through their children.
