Amid the sexual misconduct allegations pinned against Guess co-founder Paul Marciano, singer-actress Jennifer Lopez has decided to speak out.
If you didn’t know, Lopez is a part of Guess’ spring campaign. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On Wednesday night, she was photoed out at the campaign’s launch party, alongside her boo, Alex Rodriguez… and, of course, Paul Marciano was in attendance.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, prior to that, model Kate Upton made claims that Marciano had been “using his power in the industry to sexually and emotionally harass women”, which happened to be just hours before the launch party.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, many questioned why Upton’s comments didn’t steer Lopez away from attending the event.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But, yesterday, the 48-year-old spoke to The @Blast, and she made it clear that–despite her choice to show up for the occasion, she is not condoning Marciano’s actions, and she believes that an investigation needs to be done.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“My position on these issues is well known, as I have been very vocal about them. I do not condone any acts of sexual harassment, violation, or misconduct,” Lopez says. “Any accusations should be fully and thoroughly investigated. I will continue to support our rights as women.”
