Jennifer Lopez has been summoned to serenade the execs and bigwigs of Motown Records as part of the 61st annual Grammy Award’s celebration of the label’s 60th anniversary.
According to Rap-Up, CBS announced the news on Monday with a commercial promoting the two-time Grammy-nominated artist, who will join the likes of Cardi B, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Janelle Monáe and H.E.R., as a performer for the biggest night in music.
In addition to the Grammy tribute, the label, which was founded by Berry Gordy Jr. as Tamla Records in 1959 and housed music from stars such as, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, 702, Erykah Badu and more, will be honored in a February 12 event, titled, “Motown 60: A Grammy Celebration,” which will air on April 21. However, performers have yet to be revealed.
In the meantime, Alicia Keys will host the 2019 Grammy Awards show, which will kick off on Sunday at 8 PM.
