Jennifer Lopez is proud of the glitzy performance that she put on during the Super Bowl halftime show. Particularly, the moment that got everyone talking is what the singer appears most pleased with.
Lopez’s 11-year-old daughter Emme joined her mother on stage during the Pepsi Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show, where she sang her mother’s hit single, “Let’s Get Loud.” The pre-teen performed the song while sitting in a cage structure, accompanied by other children in identical enclosures, showing solidarity to the many children being locked in cages while at the Mexican-U.S. border awaiting deportation. Alongside her superstar mom, Emme belted out “Born in the USA,” showcasing her own stunning vocal range.
In an Instagram caption, Lopez wrote, “All I want my girls, the little girls on stage with me and all over the world to know is how to use their voices and be proud of everything they are. Other people can try to build walls, keep us out, or put us in cages. We are proud to recognize that all of us together are what makes this beautiful country truly great.”⠀⠀
Jennifer Lopez and Shakira delivered a performance packed with Latin pride during the halftime show, featuring guest appearances from Bad Bunny and J Balvin.
