Jennifer Williams came to the Basketball Wives Season 12 premiere dressed in full wife energy, and she brought the shade with her.
Baller Alert caught up with the reality star at the event, where she immediately addressed the side talk and judgment around her relationship this season. Jennifer made it crystal clear that she’s living in love and not looking for approval, especially from anyone who hasn’t walked the path she’s on.
“If you’ve never had a successful marriage, you should not be trying to give anybody no advice,” she said, without naming names but making the target obvious. “Sit this one out.”
Fans who’ve seen the premiere already know there’s tension between Jennifer and longtime co-star Evelyn Lozada, and Jennifer made no attempt to pretend things could ever go back to how they were. “Our relationship hasn’t been the same in quite some years, so I don’t expect anything from her,” she said. “Happy hoes ain’t hating. I’m not surprised.”
When asked if reconciliation is possible, Jennifer answered with grace and finality. “All good things come to an end—and that’s okay,” she said. “Our lives are in two completely different directions. She’s a grandmother. I’m a wife. We’re different.”
Jennifer also opened up about her personal growth and how she’s stepping into a new version of herself. “I’m not confrontational, but people are seeing me more outspoken. I’ve found my ‘I don’t care’ button,” she said. “Life is about evolution. If you’re not growing, what are you here for?”
In a lighter moment, Jennifer was asked to choose her Basketball Wives Hall of Fame picks. Without hesitation, she picked herself and Tammy Roman. “Tammy was a great addition. We didn’t always get along, but she started this reality thing with The Real World. She deserves her flowers,” she said. “I’m not a hater—I recognize greatness.”
And when it comes to love, Jennifer is all in. “We date every night. We love to travel and try new experiences together. It doesn’t have to be a five-star restaurant—it’s about the time and connection.”
