I know that’s right! Jermaine Dupri’s vegan ice cream is now available in Walmart stores.
On December 29th, Jermaine shared the big news on Instagram with a picture of him sitting with the various flavors. Dupri announced that JD’s Vegan is now in over 700 Walmart stores after teaming up with the brand.
“We really did it!!! Yes! I’m over the moon, 736 @walmart stores out the gate. go to JDsvegan.com, type in your zip code and find what store is close to you,” the producer captioned the photo.
“Walmart and I share the same vision of providing consumers with the best products and making healthy alternatives accessible to everyone,” JD said.
To make this dessert affordable and accessible to the general public, JD’s sweet treat is going for $6.47 per pint.
The vegan dessert is made with a coconut cream base to create a thick texture without using animal-derived ingredients. JD’s ice cream is dairy-free, with flavors inspired by his hometown, Atlanta. Last month, JD launched three tasty flavors: Welcome to Atlanta Peach Cobbler, Apple Butter, and Strawberry Sweetheart. This week, three more flavors were released, Key Lime Pie, Chocolate My Way, and (404) Cookies & Cream.
Jermaine created the ice cream after being vegan for over 15 years and not having quality vegan dessert options.
