Jess Hilarious is set to be the permanent co-host of The Breakfast Club, taking over from Angela Yee, who left the show a year ago.
Industry insiders praise Jess’s seamless fit on the show with Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy, enhancing humor and topical discussions.
Her standout guest appearances made her the top choice among co-host contenders considered in the past year.
On Saturday, she made the announcement during an event in her hometown of Baltimore.
“It’s official,” Jess told the crowd. “I’m a put the fu*k on for my city. Specifically, West Baltimore.”
The announcement comes one week after rapper Sexxy Red criticized the comedian on air for making shady comments. Despite Jess’s efforts, she did not win Sexxy over.
Jess Hilarious has come a long way, initially gaining fame from her stand-up, Instagram comedy sketches, and roles in shows like “Rel.”
