Jessie J Reveals Miscarriage: ‘It’s The Loneliest Feeling In The World’

Jessie J took to Instagram Wednesday, where she revealed that he suffered a miscarriage after deciding to have a baby on her own.

The 33-year-old singer shared the news just hours ahead of her performance in Los Angeles. She posted a photo of herself holding a positive pregnancy test, with a lengthy caption explaining what she was going through.

“Yesterday morning I was laughing with a friend saying ‘seriously though how am I going to get through my gig in LA tomorrow night without telling the whole audience I am pregnant.’ By yesterday afternoon I was dreading the thought of getting through the gig without breaking down,” she said in her post.

She wrote that she went to her doctor for her third scan, where she was told there was no longer a heartbeat. Jessie went on to explain why she decided to continue with her performance.

“I have done 2 shows in 2 years and my soul needs it. Even more today. I know some people will be thinking she should just cancel it. But in this moment I have clarity on one thing. I started singing when I was young for joy, to fill my soul and self love therapy, that hasn’t ever changed and I have to process this my way,” Jessie wrote.

She opened up about deciding to have a baby on her own, calling getting pregnant “a miracle in itself.” The musician has previously spoken out about her desire to be a mother and the challenges she faced after being told she would not be able to carry a child.
