Joe Budden is issuing Megan Thee Stallion an apology after it appeared he supported Tory Lanez during his assault/firearm trial.
Last week, the former Love and Hip-Hop New York star expressed his intense dislike for the Houston hottie during his podcast.
Fans quickly blasted Budden for minimizing the fact that someone did injure Megan.
However, on this week’s episode (Dec. 21) of The Joe Budden Podcast, it seems the former rapper may have some compassion.
“I’m apologizing to Meg,” said Budden. “Meg, the people that love her, her handlers, her team, the people that have to support her through what has to be an exhausting trial. I listened back. I got a few phone calls from women that I love and appreciate and admire.”
He continued, “I’m apologizing for the careless manner in which I joked about her mental health. That didn’t sit right with my soul and my spirit… That’s not funny because whether you believe her or don’t believe her, can you afford to be wrong? And the answer’s no.”
“That part was very tough for me to listen to. I almost couldn’t sleep. What if something happens to her?” Budden said.
Budden believes Megan Thee Stallion isn’t the only person making up the violent incident involving Tory Lanez.
Here his apology at the 20:17 mark.
