Joe Rogan is facing controversy once again; this time, it’s for a resurfaced clip of the comedian and podcast hosts repeatedly using the N-Word nearly two dozen times during episodes of his show “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
In a message posted on his social media platform, Rogan regrettably called the clip “the most regretful and shameful thing I’ve ever had to talk about publicly.”
The 54-year-old podcast star insisted that the edited video montage of him using the N-Word was created “out of context” using snippets from “12 years of conversations” on his show.
“It looks f–king horrible. Even to me,” Rogan admitted before he added, “I know that to most people, there is no context where a white person is ever allowed to say that word, never mind publicly on a podcast, and I agree with that now. I haven’t said it in years.”
Rogan explained that he used to use the word in his past but noted that it would only be within the context of the conversation.
“Instead of saying ‘the N-word,’ I would just say the word. I thought as long as it was in context, people would understand what I was doing,” he detailed.
