The Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III exhibition match on Sunday night was chaotic. And because of that, a rematch won’t be happening anytime soon.
According to TMZ Sports, Gotti has been suspended for six months in Florida for his role in the brawl that erupted after the fight.
A Florida State Athletic Commission spokesperson said Tuesday that the decision to suspend the boxer was determined on Sunday night due to Gotti’s actions following his disqualification.
The incident occurred at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, where Gotti III attempted to rush Mayweather, sparking a massive brawl inside the ring.
An online video shows multiple men pushing and shoving each other before the situation eventually calmed down.
As for Mayweather, the rep for the FSAC said he was not penalized.
Sources say Mayweather and Gotti were able to quash their differences and are discussing a future rematch, TMZ reported.
