Police say that Jonathan Majors‘ accuser will not face any assault charges before his next court appearance on Wednesday, despite recent reports.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office filed a 115-page motion last week, providing additional details from the night of Jonathan Majors’ alleged domestic assault on Grace Jabbari.  The motion serves as a response to Majors’ attorneys’ request to dismiss the case as they continue to assert his innocence.

The motion clarifies that prosecutors do not intend to bring separate assault charges against Jabbari.

According to The LA Times, the New York Police Department was set to charge Grace Jabbari with her voluntarily reporting to the police.  In June, The New York Times and Insider had suggested possible third-degree assault charges against her, while Majors had filed a cross-complaint at the same time.

According to the recent motion, prosecutors informed Jabbari’s attorney on September 21 that they would not prosecute her if she were arrested, and Majors’ defense attorneys were informed of the same five days later.

Majors’ legal team accused the D.A.’s office of not investigating his claims against Jabbari and claimed prosecutors tried to discourage her arrest.  Prosecutors eventually dismissed these allegations as “fictional” and asserted they had thoroughly investigated his complaint.  Additionally, it’s said that the defense provided a photo of Jabbari to the NYPD for a potential wanted flier.

According to reports, law enforcement was working to obtain a September 2022 report from London police regarding medical care sought by Jabbari while Majors was filming for the second season of “Loki.”

Majors will be in a New York criminal court on Wednesday for a hearing where Judge Rachel S. Pauley will decide if the case goes to trial or gets dismissed.
