Jonathan Majors is adamant that he is innocent in his recent domestic violence incident.
According to Majors, the driver who was with him and his ex-girlfriend on the night of their alleged domestic dispute will testify that he did not hit her. Additionally, he asserts that there is video evidence that shows she was not harmed and she went out to a club after the incident.
On Wednesday, Major’s lawyer Priya Chaudhry submitted documents to a Manhattan court stating that the driver who was present at the time, witnessed the altercation between Jonathan and the woman. The documents indicate that the driver saw the woman “hitting, scratching, and attacking” Majors while trying to take his phone.
Following the incident, the woman reportedly told officers that she had a broken finger and a cut behind her ear from the scuffle. However the documents state there is evidence to prove her statement was a “complete lie.”
Chaudhry also claims there are hours of security videos showing the woman went clubbing and got drunk after the alleged altercation. The court filing included screenshots from security footage that showed the woman using her right hand without any apparent discomfort, despite her previously claiming that Majors had caused an injury to that hand.
To make things worse, Chaudhry says the woman ended her night at Majors’ house around 3:23 am, but he was not present. His absence apparently made the woman angrier because she allegedly called the actor 32 times and sent him aggressive text messages.
When Majors returned home, he found the woman unconscious and half-naked in his closet. He adds that the woman had vomited in his bed and told him she had taken “sleeping pills.”
Nevertheless, the investigation is still ongoing as Chaudhry and Majors seek to have the case “dismissed.”
