The release of actor Jonathan Majors starring drama Magazine Dreams will no longer happen. It has been postponed indefinitely.
On Monday, Majors was found guilty of assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
The Creed II actor was quickly removed from the Marvel round-up after he made his debut as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania earlier this year.
Now, Magazine Dreams is also severing ties with Majors just two months after it was pulled from Disney’s release schedule.
Disney changed the Magazine Dreams release date to “unset” after it was originally scheduled to release on Dec. 4. The directorial debut of Elijah Bynum, Magazine Dreams had its world premiere in January at the Sundance Film Festival . Some speculate that the bodybuilding drama will never be released now that l Majors’ has been convicted.
Sources say Majors’ behavior on the Magazine Dreams set was allegedly volatile, Complex reported. Anonymous production members told rolling stone that Majors claimed it was method acting.
“I’ve heard of different method actors and how their behavior is, but none of them are violent or rude toward their crew,” one source said.
Majors’ attorney, Dustin A. Pusch, denounced the allegations, calling them “downright false.”
“Everyone who has worked with Mr. Majors knows that he employs an immersive Method acting style, and while that can be misconstrued as rudeness at times, those who know Mr. Majors and work in the industry have attested to his dedication to his craft as well as his kindness,” Pusch stated
Majors faces up to one year in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 6, 2024.
