Jonathan Majors Next Court Date Could Determine If His Charges Will Be Dismissed

The Jonathan Majors domestic violence case could soon be dismissed, as his trial date was pushed back yet again. 

On Friday, Judge Michael Gaffey ruled that the defense and prosecution must return to court on October 25th. Majors’ attorneys filed a motion last month to dismiss the domestic violence charges against him. Now, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office must respond to the filing by October 6th, while Majors attorneys have until October 13th to reply. A dismissal decision could be made during the late October hearing, Variety confirmed. Majors appeared at the Friday hearing but was granted permission to join virtually during the next one. The “Creed 3” star has maintained his innocence and has pointed the finger at his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, as the one who assaulted him. 

On Thursday, photos surfaced of Majors injuries that Jabbari allegedly inflicted during their March incident that landed him in jail. In the pictures shared by Yahoo News, the actor has a bloody scratch on his face and a scratch on his arm. There were also photos of torn clothing, also said to be caused by Jabbari. She currently has a restraining order against him.

Majors has kept quiet for the most part about his case, but he has been in the news this week for an alleged publicity stunt. He was seen on video breaking up a fight between two high school girls, and many people felt that the situation was staged to restore his public perception. He says he was simply in the right place at the right time to intervene.
