Jonathan Majors is breaking his silence on newly surfaced audio in which he appears to admit to “aggressing” his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, during a 2022 altercation.
In a new interview with Complex, the actor was asked about the recording, obtained by Rolling Stone, in which he can be heard telling Jabbari, “I aggressed you.” The conversation, which took place while the two were living together in London, includes Jabbari recalling being strangled and pushed against a car, to which Majors replies, “Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed,’ yeah.”

While Majors did not directly address the contents of the audio in his Complex interview, he repeatedly emphasized his personal growth. “I can’t speak to it,” he said. “But I was so grateful that I had done my work, you know? And I’m continuing to do my work… I was happy I had done my work.”
Majors was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment of Jabbari in December 2023 and was ordered to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program. He avoided jail time but was quickly dropped by Marvel, where he had been cast as Kang the Conqueror, a central figure in the studio’s next phase of films.
He previously spoke about the case during an appearance on Sherri, saying, “God has a plan and sometimes you just throw your hands up… I can’t speak about it, but I do know there’s a plan and I’ve let go of control.”
Majors is currently promoting his latest film, Magazine Dreams, now in theaters. The drama stars Majors as Killian Maddox, an aspiring bodybuilder struggling with isolation and identity.
In the midst of the controversy, Majors’ personal life has also made headlines. Earlier this week, he married actress Meagan Good in a private ceremony. The couple went public with their relationship last year and announced their engagement at the EBONY Power 100 Gala in November.
