Jonathan Majors is praising his girlfriend, Meagan Good, for sticking by his side during his controversial domestic assault case.
The embattled actor conducted his very first interview since being convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. He sat down with Linsey Davis from ABC News for Good Morning America, where he gave his honest reaction to his conviction. He expressed his surprise when he was convicted despite claiming he never assaulted Jabbari. Through it all, Majors says Good remained by his side during his darkest hour.
“She’s an angel. She’s held me down like a Coretta…I’m so blessed to have her, you know. The relationship is still fresh, but…I found her,” he shared.
Good was present on Major’s side during the trial and heard the uncomfortable details about Major’s relationship with Jabbari. The evidence played in court was audio recorded by Jabbari, where the Marvel star was heard telling her to be more like Coretta Scott King and make sacrifices for their relationship. There were also text messages where Majors seemingly encouraged Jabbari not to seek medical attention for an injury. Nevertheless, Good was in court and even shed tears after he was convicted.
Majors was convicted of reckless assault in the third degree and a non-criminal charge of harassment as a violation. He will be sentenced on February 6th. He could spend up to a year in jail.
