Despite chatter of Jonathan Majors making his Marvel return, several insiders claim that’s simply a rumor.
Multiple sources with direct knowledge told TMZ that Majors has not been invited to any discussions about reprising his role as Kang the Conqueror.
“Jonathan has not engaged in any talks to return to the MCU after he was booted in 2023 following a guilty verdict in his criminal trial,” insiders confirmed.
This week, ScreenGeek ran an exclusive report claiming that Marvel president Kevin Feige was strongly leaning toward bringing Majors back. The 35-year-old was once poised to be Marvel’s next big villain, but everything changed after his conviction.
“It all came crashing down only hours after he was found guilty on two of four counts in his criminal trial, in which he was accused of roughing up his ex-girlfriend,” the sources added.
Since then, Majors has been working to rehabilitate his image, but a Marvel comeback remains out of reach. Meanwhile, the actor has made headlines for personal milestones. His fiancée, Meagan Good recently confirmed their engagement and the couple remains together despite speculation.
While Majors’ career future remains uncertain, one thing is clear: Marvel is moving forward without him. However, his bodybuilding drama, “Magazine Dreams,” is set to make its theater debut on March 21st, 2025.
