Joy Taylor is officially out at Fox Sports, wrapping up nearly a decade-long run with the network during a wave of sweeping changes at FS1. The network has canceled her talk show “Speak,” as well as its two morning programs, signaling a significant programming shake-up, according to The Athletic.
Taylor, 38, had been a recognizable face on FS1, known for her sharp analysis and versatile hosting style. But after her contract expired, Fox Sports opted not to renew it. She had co-hosted “Speak” alongside former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson and NBA legend Paul Pierce.
The move comes at a time when FS1 has been under scrutiny due to two lawsuits involving its former top executive, Charlie Dixon. In one suit, a makeup artist accused Dixon of sexual battery, with a controversial claim that Taylor had once told the plaintiff to “get over it”—an allegation Taylor firmly denied. Dixon left the network in April.
While Fox Sports has not publicly commented on Taylor’s exit or the canceled programming, insiders suggest the network is restructuring its daytime and studio lineup. The departure of Taylor and the removal of three shows reflect a clear pivot, though it’s unclear what the next phase of FS1’s programming will look like.
Taylor has yet to announce her next move, but industry watchers believe she won’t be sidelined for long. Her track record, versatility, and large fanbase suggest bigger opportunities are likely already on the table.
Taylor may be out at FS1, but she’s far from out of the game. From “The Herd” to “Speak,” she’s built a strong platform, and her next chapter is expected to be even bigger.
