Joyner Lucas Talks Logic Beef ” I Was Jealous Of Him “

Rapper Joyner Lucas recently sat down for an interview with Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club where he discussed his infamous beef with Logic. The longstanding feud dates back to 2016 following the pair’s collaboration on Tech N9ne’s  “Sriracha.” Over the past years, the two have fired serval shots at each other.

Charlamagne Tha God questioned the origin of the rap beef. According to Lucas, the beef with logic was motivated by jealousy.”I think I was jealous of him. I felt like where he was at at the time is where I wanted to be so much.” Lucas said.

Lucas also touched base on the role Royce 5’9 played in ending the feud.”I had called that man because I had an epiphany. Everything that I accused Logic of was happening to me. I know how it feels and it sucks… When said, ‘Royce, you can put me on the phone with Logic, bro?  he said, ‘Yeah.

The phone call between the two ended with Lucas apologizing. “I just want to tell you I apologize. I’m going through some shit right now, in which I understand the reason why you felt how you felt when I was coming at you the same way. I felt like I was jealous of you because you were doing everything I wanted to do.  You had all these relationships with everyone I loved and respected. I really idolized you and I didn’t even realize how much I did.” Lucas said.

Apparently, the heart-felt apology was a very emotional moment for the two. Lucas said Logic’s response to him was that his words were “the most sincere apology anybody in my life has ever given me.” Lucas and Logic have since squashed the beef. In 2019 they collaborated on “Isis”.
