Kevin Hart can now leave his old sex tape scandal in the past since his longtime friend J.T. Jackson has been cleared of any criminal wrongdoings in the case.
In a video shared online, Kevin expressed how happy he was for his former friend, adding that he couldn’t speak about the situation until now because the legal procedure was still ongoing. He said: “I’m happy that that chapter in my life is over. I’m happy that we’re able to put a period on that sentence.”
According to reports, this is a big win for Jackson since Kevin thought that he was trying to blackmail him over a video taken in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2017. Jackson was charged with four counts: attempted extortion, attempting to conceal and sell stolen property, illegal use of personal identification, and identity theft.
Since then, three charges were dropped due to a lack of evidence in 2019… and now the final charge of identity theft has been dropped as well.
Kevin has stated that he intends to put the incident behind him.
