Chris Brown’s trial involving his former housekeeper has been pushed back several months.
RadarOnline.com obtained court documents indicating the judge approved Brown’s request to move the trial date from January 3, 2023, to September 26, 2023.
It was previously reported that Brown’s former housekeeper, who sued under the Jane Doe alias, failed to submit any medical examinations or serve any of the other defendants in the lawsuit.
Brown requested that the trial date be pushed back because he couldn’t properly prepare for his defense without the proper documentation.
Now that his request has been approved, the singer and his legal team have ample time to prepare until the next court date.
In December 2020, Brown’s former housekeeper sued the singer for $71 million in damages after allegedly being attacked by the singer’s dog, Hades, at his Tarzan, California home.
According to her lawyer, Brown should pay millions for his client’s emotional distress and medical bills.
Brown is seeking to dismiss the lawsuit, claiming Doe mistreated Hades, which caused her injuries.
As explained by Brown’s lawyer, the housekeeper’s injuries were caused by her own misconduct by “voluntarily teased, abused, and mistreated the dog and thereby provoked the attack.”

Brown’s lawyer said, “Doe invited the injuries now complained of and assumed the risk of them with full knowledge of the magnitude of that risk, in that she knew her foregoing conduct might cause the dog to attack her, and seriously injure her, both of which events are alleged to have occurred.”
