A Connecticut judge has ordered the re-arrest of Aaron Hernandez’s brother, Dennis Hernandez, after he failed to appear in court last week on charges related to throwing a brick at the ESPN headquarters in Bristol.
Hernandez was originally arrested in March. Police said the 37-year-old, also known as DJ, went to ESPN in a car, possibly an Uber, and threw a bag containing a brick and a note over a fence onto the campus’ property.
The note read: “To all media outlets, It’s about time you all realeyes (sic) the affect media has on all family members. Since you’re a world wide leader maybe you could lead how media and messages are delivered brick by brick. Clean it up! Yours truly, Dennis J. Hernandez.”
According to CBS News, Hernandez was released with the promise to appear in court on July 7 to enter a plea to a misdemeanor charge of breach of peace.
However, Hernandez didn’t show up, so a warrant was issued for his arrest. As of Tuesday morning, according to Awful Announcing, he was not in custody.
In the meantime, ESPN said it is cooperating with police.
