Judge Rules In Favor Of Wendy Williams, Ex-Husband Kevin Hunter’s Alimony Will Not Resume

Wendy Williams ex-husband Kevin Hunter did not have a good day in court. A judge denied his demands for alimony payments to resume.

Hunter appeared before a New Jersey judge and claimed that not only is he “broke,” but he “cannot pay his bills.” The judge said Kevin’s demands were “not emergent” and ordered his recent application “ be dismissed without prejudice.”

The judge also denied his request for his ex-wife to pay his legal fees, Radar Online reported.

Hunter still has a chance to get alimony in mediation. “The parties are to participate in binding arbitration,” the judge said. “The issues surrounding the severance payments and the [Qualified Domestic Relations Order] are disputed and therefore need to be mediated.”

Hunter, 50, stopped receiving alimony early last year, shortly after Williams lost her contract with Talk WW. He filed a motion to resume those payments in November. “I have fallen behind on most of my bills,” he said. “I currently live in a community that requires payments to the homeowner association, and I’m behind on that bill.”

“If the homeowners association fees are not paid, foreclosure will soon follow,” he continued, according to court documents obtained by The Sun. “My car insurance hasn’t been paid as a result of not receiving monthly severance payments. I’m behind on credit card payments because I have no money since the severance payments were suspended.”

“My life has been greatly affected since the plaintiff stopped making payments under our settlement agreement,” Wendy’s ex added. “The fact that I am unable to sustain my life and pay my bills in order is extremely emergent to me. I cannot pay my bills and sustain my day-to-day living.”

However, Williams’ team said she took a financial loss after being suspended from her talk show, adding that she stopped receiving her salary in October 2021.

They also noted that her ex “understood and agreed” that “all Severance Payment shall be subject to either termination or modification” if Wendy’s contract was “not renewed and/or otherwise suspended, canceled or terminated.”

The two got married in 1997 and divorced in 2019 after he had a baby with his mistress.
