Eight years after his death, Michael Jackson can finally rest in peace, as a judge just dismissed the sex abuse lawsuit against him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to the Page Six, choreographer Wade Robson, who met the King of Pop when he was five years old, filed a lawsuit against Jackson’s estate in 2013 for molestation that spanned a seven-year period. The lawsuit came just four years after Jackson’s untimely death and just eight years after Robson testified in Jackson’s defense at his criminal trial in ‘05.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At the trial, Robson said he spent the night at the singer’s Neverland Ranch several times, sometimes in Jackson’s room, but he was never molested. Jackson was acquitted in the criminal trial. But, eight years later, Robson changed his story and filed a suit against Jackson’s estate.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, in 2015, a judge ruled that Robson’s claims came too late to get any of Jackson’s estate, which forced Robson to go after Jackson’s corporate entities, MJJ Productions Inc and MJJ Ventures Inc. But, that attempt failed on Tuesday after a judge ruled that the defendants had nothing to do with Robson’s alleged abuse.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to the publication, Robson’s attorney said he disagrees with the court’s ruling and plans to appeal. He also said the ruling and reasoning sets a dangerous precedent, saying, “What the judge is saying that if you own a corporation or a company, you can hire people, use these people to facilitate your sexual abuse, use them to facilitate victims.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“So long as you’re the sole owner of that corporation, the corporation can’t be held liable,” Vince Finaldi continued, prompting Jackson’s estate attorney to release a statement of approval for the ruling.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“In my opinion, Mr. Robson’s allegations, made 20 plus years after they supposedly occurred and years after Mr. Robson testified twice under oath – including in front of a jury – that Michael Jackson had never done anything wrong to him was always about the money rather than a search for the truth.”
