Juelz Santana Says He Doesn’t “Condone” Cam’ron and Jim Jones Feud: “I Definitely Don’t Like What’s Going On” [Video]

For a while now, Dipset has been a pillar in the rap game, especially in Harlem. But, as of lately, the cracks in their strained relationship have been making headlines within these past weeks and Juelz Santana is finally speaking out.

During a recent interview with “Art Of Dialogue,” Santana addressed the longstanding tension between his fellow Dipset members, Cam’ron and Jim Jones. This comes just after Cam and Jim exchanged heated words earlier this month on social media. Since the situation unfolded, Santana says it’s an issue he wishes he didn’t have to witness.

“It’s not something I condone,” Santana said. “I’m not rooting for or sitting here and watching and happy that it’s going on. I’m definitely not at all. Both of them is still my brothers at the end of the day. So, you know, with that being said, I definitely don’t like what’s going on. I never liked it. Nobody wins when the family feuds, no matter what we going through behind the scenes.”

He continued, “As men, things happen, and social media is so powerful and so strong now that sometimes things spill over, and you have situations that you have now.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Santana also spoke on the history of Cam and Jim, recalling their relationship when he first joined the group back in the late 90s. He stated that their bond was incredibly tight in the beginning, debunking Cam’s recent claims that suggested otherwise.

“Cam and Jim’s history go back before me,” Santana shared. “When I met Cam and Jim, they were super close. So I honestly don’t really know Jim being from The Bronx and all that, you know what I’m saying? When I met them, they was in 5H, which was Jim’s apartment, and I guess that time was after all the stuff Cam had said already with the Children of the Corn.”

The Harlem rapper added, “When I got there, Cam and Jim was super tight. Mase wasn’t even in the picture. I don’t know Mase like that. Every time I see Mase, it’s been a mutual respect there. When I met Cam and Jim, they were already tight and locked in. The Diplomats was already a name they had.”

Santana officially joined Dipset in 1999 after his cousin introduced him to Cam’ron. As a result, Santana, Cam’ron, Jim Jones, and Freekey Zekey formed one of hip-hop’s greatest conglomerates. While the current feud between Cam and Jim is ongoing, Santana remains hopeful about the situation.
