On Sunday, 21-year-old rapper Juice WRLD passed away after suffering from a seizure following a flight.
Juice Wrld was reportedly traveling from California, and upon landing in Illinois, the rapper suffered cardiac arrest. He was then rushed to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was later pronounced dead.
At the same time, two of the rapper’s security guards, who were armed with weapons, were arrested and charged with misdemeanor gun violations. Although the two had valid concealed-carry permits, according to the Chicago Sun Times, firearms are not allowed in the airport, so the two were taken into custody.
Although police said there were “no signs of foul play evident to the officers,” in regards to Juice Wrld’s untimely death, officials found and seized 70 pounds of marijuana from the rapper’s private jet.
In addition, several members from the rapper’s team told officials that Juice had taken “several unknown pills” prior to his seizures, which, in turn, sent him into cardiac arrest. According to TMZ, police also said a bottle of codeine cough syrup was also found on the plane, however, the rapper’s cause of death has yet to be determined.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
