Justin Bieber says he is not studying to be a pastor and is reportedly moving away from Hillsong Church.
On Monday, the Biebster took to social media to respond to claims that he was training to be a pastor, which he says is completely false. He also denied rumors that he became a part of Hillsong Church’s ministry.
“IM NOT STUDYING TO BE A MINISTER OR ANYTHING EVEN CLOSE TO THAT,” he wrote in a caption with a screenshot of a Page Six headline from last week. “HAVE NO DESIRE FOR THAT THIS IS FAKE NEWS.” Another headline claimed the singer wants to become “a full-fledged minister next year.”
He continued: “AND BTW HILLSONG IS NOT MY CHURCH.. FOR CLARITY I AM A PART OF CHURCHOME”. He added that “Church is not a place” and said he doesn’t “need a building to connect with god.” He wrote, “God is with us wherever we are,” he wrote.
The pastor of Hillsong Church was recently accused of adultery; his church is based on the East Coast. Bieber’s church home is nondenominational and is based on the West Coast. It caters celeb’s remote fellowship.
