Justin Combs has been given a light sentence in his DUI case.Â
The actor recently pleaded no contest to the charges stemming from his June arrest, which was reported by TMZ. He ran a red light in Beverly Hills, and once police stopped his vehicle, they noticed the wealthy son of Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared to be intoxicated. He was later found to have a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 percent. Combs was booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge but was later released on a $5,000 bond. After his arrest, his mother, Misa Hylton, slammed Diddy for being a bad influence on their son, who was once a UCLA football player.Â
As part of Combs’ plea agreement, he must serve three years of probation. Additionally, the 29-year-old must complete a first-time alcohol offender and drug education program. With him accepting this deal, the charge of operating a vehicle while under the influence was dismissed.
As The Blast noted, most first-time DUI arrests don’t result in imprisonment unless there is an accident or injury of some kind. Luckily, no one was hurt when Combs ran the red light. He has kept pretty quiet on social media since his arrest. His last Instagram post was in May, and Combs has not released a statement about his case. However, he did team up in September with his brother, Christian Combs, and the Mount Vernon City School District in New York for a sneaker giveaway. The event gave over 100 pairs of shoes to underprivileged students.Â
