Juvenile is not too pleased with the upcoming Lovers & Friends Festival.
On Wednesday, Juvie criticized the organizers of the festival over his inclusion in the promotional materials for the 2024 edition.
“Here we go again, man,” Juvie said in a now-deleted video on Instagram. “These cats at Lovers & Friends — whoever in charge of Lovers & Friends, man, y’all doing bad business, man. Y’all done put my name on a flyer and y’all know you ain’t sent me no deposit, ain’t sent me no bread or nothin. [Y’all] keep on playing games, talking ’bout y’all gonna get back at me. Look, y’all playing games with the wrong muthaf*cka, man. If y’all gon’ book me — if y’all not gon’ book me, take my muthaf*ckin’ name off y’all flyer. I ain’t got no problem with that, I could do something else with my time.”
He added, “I ain’t trippin’. But don’t put my fuckin’ name on y’all flyers if y’all know you ain’t paid me no money. That’s f*cked up.”
Juvie isn’t the first artist to call out the festival. Recently, Mary J. Blige voiced her concerns regarding her inclusion in the lineup, explicitly stating that she would not be performing. However, just days after her statement, the songstress was added back to the lineup.
The Lovers & Friends Festival has encountered consistent criticism almost every year since its inaugural event announcement in 2020. In the first year, Lil Kim, Twista, and Ma$e all denied their involvement in the festival.
