The 12th man has been anything but happy as they await the return of Kam Chancellor. Now one training camp, two games, and a loss of two game checks totaling $535,294 later, the star safety has decided to call his holdout quits and make his entrance into the 2015 season.
The 3-time Pro-Bowler has 3 years left on a 4 year extension from 2013 but decided that since he had outplayed the means of his deal, he wanted to re-negotiate. The deal is worth $28 million (with 16.88 remaining), but like all NFL contracts nothing is quite guaranteed past the current season. Chancellor plans on discussing his contract terms further after the 2015 season. For now he’s is in game shape at 226 pounds and just 6 percent body fat, and planning to face the Bears on Sunday. So what do you guys think, did he make the right decision?
