In a shocking update that fans never saw coming, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker have officially decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage. The reality TV favorite and award-winning producer confirmed the news in an exclusive statement.
“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect,” Burruss told PEOPLE.
She added, “I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”
Burruss, 49, and Tucker, 52, first met on the set of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in 2011. Their relationship moved quickly, leading to an engagement in 2013 and marriage in 2014. Over the years, they welcomed two children together, Ace and Blaze, while also blending their family with children from previous relationships.
They were more than just partners in life. The duo built businesses side by side, including restaurants, a trucking company, and a Bravo series showcasing their family life.
Just last week, Burruss was honored at BravoCon 2025 with the Wifetime Achievement Award and emotionally thanked Tucker in her speech. That moment now feels bittersweet.
