Kandi Burruss Slams LaTocha Scott’s Solo Album Claims; Says They Were On Two Different Labels [Audio]

Members of Xscape are speaking out regarding LaTocha Scott, who is at the center of the group’s drama.

Kandi Burruss, Tiny, and Tamika Scott held a chat with The Big Tigger Morning Show to address several claims made by LaTocha on the new series “SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B.” LaTocha previously insinuated that Kandi had something to do with her solo album being shelved. LaTocha says around the time she was planning her own individual album, Kandi was supposedly dating producer Jermaine Dupri and believes he pushed her album to the side for the relationship. However, Kandi refutes these claims. She explained that she and Dupri were not speaking during the solo deal debacle. Furthermore, Kandi was signed to Columbia while LaTocha was still on So So Def. Therefore, it’s highly unlikely that the songwriter could have impacted her album not being released.

The ladies also expressed their disappointment to Tigger with their issues being displayed on camera for the world to see. Particularly the money drama between sisters Tamika and LaTocha. If you’ve been watching the series, then you’re aware that Tamika claimed LaTocha and her husband Rocky stole $30,000 from her. Both have denied the claims. However, Tamika is adamant that they did and said she tried to speak with her big sister before the show aired to put their issues to rest. However, that did not happen.

Since the ladies did their Verzuz against SWV last year, they have renewed interest in touring and releasing new music. However, recent shows have only been a trio, with LaTocha not wanting to participate.

It seems we will just have to see how this drama unfolds each and every Sunday when “SWV & Xscape: Queens Of R&B” airs on Bravo and streams on Peacock.
