Kandi Burruss and Tamika Scott Exchange Words In Awkward “Watch What Happens Live” Interview, Kandi Says She Is Not Working On New Music With Xscape

Over the weekend, Xscape sat down with Andy Cohen for Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” to promote their new endeavors. However, the conversation took a turn for the worse, when the group began to open up old wounds.

In a sneak preview of the group’s reality show, “Xscape: Still Kickin’ It,” the group is shown discussing an unauthorized version of their story with Jermaine Dupri. The ladies were frustrated with the fact that Dupri, who produced and discovered the group, signed off on the airing of the unauthorized version. Meanwhile, Dupri was curious as to why the ladies of the group even cared.

After the clip aired, Cohen discussed the scene with the women and inquired about the group’s break up, but that is when things took a sharp left.

Cohen asked Tamika Scott if it was hard for her to admit that she made up the story about Jermaine Dupri and Kandi hooking up, to which she responded that she didn’t. However, Kandi quickly intervened, saying that that particular part of the story was not made up, but that it was not what lead to the group’s break up.

“Jermaine and I hooked up, but that’s not why the group broke up,” Kandi clarified. “It was some other stuff that she said in the [radio] interview…you said that I hooked up with Jermaine’s dad and that’s absolutely not true.”

“So that is what I said that wasn’t correct,” Tamika replied, pointing towards Kandi.

As the interview continued, the group also discussed new music, to which Kandi revealed that she will not be working on new music with the group.

“They are,” Kandi said, pointing to Tamika, Latocha Scott, and Tiny, adding that she is going on to work on other projects. However, the tour is still on track to begin later this month.
