When you think of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, you might picture him catching passes from quarterback Alex Smith, scoring touchdowns, or even hitting the Quan in the end zone. What you don’t know is that deep down, he’s just a man looking for love. And during his upcoming offseason, he’s determined to find it.
The 26-year-old NFL bachelor is about to get his own reality show, Catching Kelce, which will air on E! later this year. The show will start filming during the offseason and will feature Kelce and fifty women from around the country.
Denise Petski of Deadline.com gives us a sneak peek into the plot of the show:
“Fifty eligible women, one from each state in the U.S. will be invited to Los Angeles as Kelce searches for that special someone to become his lifelong “teammate.” Kelce will be joined by famous friends and family to help him along his journey, but in the series finale, only he can decide who is the right woman for him. The dating series has a twist, though. While Kelce will be deciding who stays in the house and who is sent home along the way, the women are able to strategically decide who is attending the all-important group dates.”
Kelce is definitely not the first celebrity to broadcast his quest for love in front of a national audience. We’ve witnessed the saga of Flava Flav and Hoopz on Flavor of Love, watched as Bret Michaels looked for a girlfriend on Rock of Love, and of course we can never forget former NFL player Chad Ochocinco’s attempts at finding the woman of his dreams on Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch. Unfortunately in their cases, these stars’ relationships with the shows’ winners were fun but short-lived. Hopefully, Travis will have more luck at finding long-term love.
