Kansas City Mother Decapitates Her 6-Year-Old Son’s Head Along With Dog; Police Say She Was Singing When They Found Her

A mother in Kansas City cut off the head of her 6-year-old son and her dog, claiming the devil was talking to her.

This past Tuesday night, a 35-year-old woman in Kansas, City, Mo., named Tasha Heafs called the police saying she thought someone was trying to hurt her, reports KCTV.  She went on to say that she believed the devil was trying to attack her, and when police asked her did she haven any mental illness, she denied it and hung up the phone.

In response, police went to the woman’s home to perform a welfare check, KCTV reports. When they arrived, there was blood leading up to her front door and officers could hear Haef singing inside. When the police began knocking on the door, the woman started singing louder.

Police ended up taking a peek inside and saw the child’s head decapitated. Police went to the back of the home and burst in through the back door, finding Haefs with blood covering her legs and feet. Officers found the dog with his head severed in the basement. The child’s headless body was found just outside of the kitchen.

The child – who she admitted to killing – has been confirmed to be her biological son. Haefs has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
